Here's the first update on the St. John painting. Just trying to work out the broad shapes/tones right now. I haven't worked on the chalice yet, as you can see, it's not in the painting.

How's this painting coming along just now..?
Ah, thanks for asking, but it's been put on hold for the time being as I am SWAMPED in commissions. I should be getting back to it fairly soon, but I'm also working on a portrait of my mom that I'll be loading on here soon. Promise I'll get back to work on John soon!
