Rorschach Artists 1

These are four of the paintings I created during the Lock-In a week ago. They're mostly of the artists that participated in the event. From top to bottom they are Spike Kittrell (painter), Mike Elder (gallery owner), Laura Olsen (photographer), and Joanna Jackson (jackess of trades). They're acrylic on canvas, one foot square.

On The Easel: 'Playing Prey,' nearly done

Got most of the background laid in today. Letting it dry before distressing it and then finishing the feet/pedestal and that's it.

Sleepers!

Steven, Chris and Anson steal some sleep and make out like bandits.

Lock-In Shots

Here are a few shots from throughout the night. That's not dusk at the top, that's dawn. Bennett working on 'DeconstrucTABLE.' Shelley hard at work. View of the gallery and a smalls stack of some of the work I made.

The LOCK IN Was A Great Success!

This was my view of Eye Level Art 103 all night long on Friday. 20 artists and 20 hours. Hundreds of pieces of art were made. Final total for myself: 53 watercolors and 12 paintings. Props to the others who made it through all 20 hours without a wink of sleep. Everyone did awesome!

Talking To AMHS Students At The Circular Congregational Church

This is a video taken by Junius Wright at the Circular Congregational Church for the show She Shall Be Called Woman. The sound is a little difficult to hear but you may be able to make out some of what I had to say about the 'Repositions Of The Virgin' painting.

On The Easel: Mr. Judy in 'Supermen'

So this is a crunch time project. I'm under the gun to get it done by the 18th, but that won't be a problem. Laid the back wall in today and I'll start on the fore-figure this weekend. Details about this work to follow shortly...

On The Easel: Playing Prey

A beautiful barn owl (like the one in Labyrinth) posed in front of a wall on which will appear Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The barn owl is nonplussed. Next: work on the base, feet, graffiti on back wall and some detail work.
